Why Coconut Oil KILLS Belly Fat

See 3 studies

research proves coconut oil can do wonders for your health!

Millions of people across America (not to mention worldwide) struggle with stubborn abdominal fat, which can be difficult to shed even when a healthy lifestyle is adopted. Not only is abdominal fat, also called visceral fat or ‘belly fat,’ unsightly, it can can lead to an increased risk of a number of health conditions.

Some of the risks associated with carrying excess fat around your middle are a greater susceptibility to type 2 diabetes and heart disease. Additionally, as this fat tends to coat vital organs, it can cause system-wide inflammation that can trigger an array of other chronic illnesses.

But according to the ground-breaking studies below, the effects of coconut oil on abdominal fat will surprise you! Read on...

A 2009 study published in the Journal of Lipids consisted of testing the effects of either 2 tablespoons of coconut oil or 2 tablespoons of soybean on a group of 40 women over the span of 28 days.

Results showed that the group that ate the coconut oil had a decrease in abdominal fat, while the soybean oil group actually showed a slight increase in belly fat.

Additionally, the group that ate the coconut oil showed increased HDL ‘good’ cholesterol levels, while the soybean oil group had decreased HDL cholesterol and increased LDL ‘ bad’ cholesterol.

Marijuana legalization is a risk not worth taking

Marijuana legalization is a risk not worth taking
By Stuart Gitlow

Many people know one or more people whose lives were cut short by smoking cigarettes. It's a tragedy that could be prevented.

Federal marijuana bill would legalize some cannabis strains

And yet, our country stands ready to once again head down the path of accepting another addictive drug, marijuana, as legal. It is almost as if we have to burn our fingers again to be convinced that the stove is still hot.

As with tobacco, a significant number of people who try marijuana will become addicted. Research says that 1 in 6 teens who start using marijuana will become addicted.

But with marijuana, people can also experience long-term psychiatric disease, and those who use it heavily prior to age 25 are more likely than nonusers to experience a drop in IQ. Let me repeat that for emphasis: If you use marijuana heavily prior to age 25, your brain won't work anymore -- not as it did originally. Will you die young, as with tobacco? We'll have to wait a generation to find out, just as we did with tobacco. Our children will be the guinea pigs.

Wrinkle Free Clothes – Is Formaldehyde Worth the Risks?

Wrinkle Free Clothes – Is Formaldehyde Worth the Risks?

There are all sorts of sneaky toxin sources that hinder our ability to live healthily and happily.

All too many industrially manufactured products seem to trade safety for convenience or short-term enjoyment.

You’re probably already familiar with many of the “toxins of convenience” that should be steer clear of: GMO foods (which allow for better short-term crop yields), preservatives (which increase shelf life, and thus the manufacturer’s bottom line), cleaning supplies, flame retardants in beds…and the list goes on.

But here’s one that may not have shown up on your radar yet: wrinkle-free clothing.
Ever wonder how wrinkle-free shirts stay so neat and fresh?

I wish I could tell you that it’s because of some revolutionary manufacturing method that alters the fabric’s properties without the use of noxious chemicals.

Here’s the unfortunate truth, though: wrinkle-free clothing is treated with perfluorinated chemicals (or PFCs, which contain Teflon), sulphuric acid, and even a resin that releases formaldehyde (which is also used as an embalming fluid).

These chemicals strengthen the integrity of the fabric, thus allowing it to more readily resist wrinkling. In return, our clothing is left with chemical residues, which can cause headaches, respiratory issues, eye irritation, rashes, itchy skin, blisters, and a skin condition known as contact dermatitis.

And by the way, the National Cancer Institute classifies formaldehyde as a confirmed human carcinogen (1). That’s right: you can add your wrinkle-free clothing to the long list of potential cancer-causing agents.

It’s certainly nice not to have to iron our clothing all the time…but are these risks really worth the convenience?

Manuka Honey can destroy MRSA and other resistant pathogens

Manuka Honey can destroy MRSA and other highly resistant pathogens. It’s anti-fungal and anti-inflammatory, and even works to heal the stomach and balance gut flora.

Not all honey is created equal, though

While lots of health claims have been made for all sorts of honey, the one that really walks the walk is Manuka honey.

Manuka honey is made from the Manuka bush in New Zealand (more commonly known as the tea tree). It boasts an impressive array of healing and antiseptic components—including some with which we’re not even familiar yet.

Its potential as a natural antibiotic is profound: this magical, exotic honey varietal destroys over 250 different strains of bacteria, including MRSA and other highly resistant pathogens (3).

Best of all, it was found to work just as well as conventional antiseptics at combating the whole gamut of infectious organisms.

WHERE TO GET IT? Search Google. I bought mine at Amazon. Take a teaspoon of it every so often. Remember, much of it is sugar. That's not such a good thing. Cancer thrives on sugar and lack of oxygen (see 1 minute cure).

What makes Apple Cider Vinegar do magical?

What makes Apple Cider Vinegar do magical?

It helps lower glucose levels. A study at Arizona State University demonstrated that apple cider vinegar, when taken before eating, helps improve insulin sensitivity and lower glucose levels. Diabetics improved their glucose levels by 25%, and pre-diabetics improved theirs by an impressive 50% (1). Another study supported these findings by showing that participants who took apple cider vinegar before bed lowered their morning glucose levels by 4 to 6%.

It lowers bad cholesterol and blood pressure, as suggested by a study in 2006 (3). While the mechanism behind this health benefit is still rather mysterious, researchers believe that credit should be given to the high content of acetic acid in apple cider vinegar.

It’s powerfully antibacterial and antifungal, especially when taken on a regular basis as a preventative immune system booster.

It helps with joint pain and stiffness by acting as a potent anti-inflammatory agent and improving circulation.

It’s even good for your pets. Apple cider vinegar is a popular tonic for controlling fleas, treating skin conditions, and promoting a healthy, shiny coat.
